Pew Research Center analyzed 68,879 unique Google searches from the March 2025 browsing activity of 900 U.S. adults.

What they found

Sixty percent of searches beginning with question words such as ‘who,’ ‘what,’ ‘when’ or ‘why’ produced an AI summary.
